This place of spirituality is characterized by the presence of an old convent, which is expected to have an extension added to meet the requirements of the community living here, as well as to welcome visitors. The new volumes have been designed in strict compliance both with pre-existing historic buildings, which are integrated within the open vegetable garden spaces, and with the environmental and landscape setting created by the lush Alta Valle dell’Esino state-owned forest. The architectural language chosen for the new building is actually characterized by the use of stone to cover the outside walls, in harmony with the reference context, and by plain lines which have no impact on the landscape.
